These can be used for a number of applications, from plastic injection molding and food processing, to nuclear and atomic research, to industrial processing and heat treating. Specific options include the mineral insulated thermocouple by Watlow, which handles temperatures up to 1,200 degrees Celsius and meets or exceeds initial calibration tolerances per ASTM E 230, and base/noble metal thermocouples, which are available in straight or angle types and single or dual element, with 2- or 4-hole insulators.
