The sensors are used to detect and measure a relative change in force or applied load, the rate of change in force, and to identify force thresholds. The sensors features linearity and accuracy of plus or minus 3 percent, and high temperature measurements up to 400F.

  Tekscan delivers sensors in square, mat, rectangle, other shapes, bed, seat and walkway types. Square sensor models feature a standard pressure range from 7 to 5000 psi. Mat sensor models feature a standard pressure range from 5 to 125 psi. Sensor models in other shapes feature a standard pressure up to 10,000 psi. Bed and seat sensor models feature a standard pressure range from 5 to 30 psi. Walkway sensor models feature a standard pressure range from 6 to 5000 psi.
