in Hall Effect Sensors
Spectec designs Hall Effect speed sensors including magnetic Hall Effect sensors, Hall Effect gear tooth sensors, Hall Effect quadrature sensors, intrinsically-safe Hall Effect sensors, and custom sensors. The Hall Effect gear tooth sensors can detect gear teeth as small as .10" wide and .10" deep. The company also produces zero speed Hall Effect sensors used as vehicle speed sensors, wheel speed sensors, and in ABS brake systems.
-
in Magnetic Sensors
Variable reluctance speed sensors are available from Spectec, with frequency ranges >100 kHz and temperature ranges from -450 to +850 degrees Fahrenheit. Air gaps between the speed sensor and target for magnet types is 0.001" to 0.003", and 1" max for inductive types. Specialized units are also available, such as those that are intrinsically safe to zone 0, dual output, or hermetically-sealed and sanitary. Typical applications for these sensors include ATV tachometer sensors; truck, railroad, and marine transmissions; wheel slip and traction control in ABS brake systems; are more. Typical targets are slotted wheels, sprockets, and bolted heads.
-
in Position Sensors
Spectec offers a variety of magnetic speed sensors and Hall Effect position sensors. The Hall effect gear position sensors are dual output configurations that detect the direction and position of a target gear. They are also used for rotation profiling, angle profiling and field profiling.
-
in Proximity Sensors
Spectec designs and manufactures near zero speed, non-magnetic drag FR proximity sensors that feature a frequency range of up to 5000 Hz. The sensors detect targets through a non-magnetic metal wall that feature no magnetic braking effect. The sensors are used to detect micro-motion in the textile industry, and bearing run-out detection.
-
in Speed Sensors
Spectec produces magnetic speed sensors and hall effect sensors in a variety of series. Magnetic speed sensors feature a frequency range to above 100kHz, shock and vibration resistance, dual output, hermetic sealing, and stainless steel shell materials. Hall effect sensors are zero speed sensors for magnetic targets and ferrous targets. Hall effect sensors include gear tooth sensors, magnetic sensors, position sensors, quadrature sensors and dual output sensors.
