  Optical Scientific offers three types of optical flow sensors. The OFS provides path-averaged air velocity measurements in industrial settings, such as smokestacks, ducts, vents, or other confined spaces. Resolution of the velocity measurement is 0.1 m/s, and overall range is 0.1 to 40 m/s. The OFS-F is designed specifically for flare stacks and is based on EPA Method 14-approved technology, but with mostly the same specifications as the standard OFS. Finally, the LOA-105 is a long-baseline optical anemometer that features an electro-optical design to provide a sensor that is immune from external influence. Intended for interior applications like aluminum smelting, the LOA-105 has HF-resistant windows, purge fittings, and a Serial RS-232 interface.
