• in Photoelectric Sensors

  Banner Engineering designs and manufactures full-size, midsize, compact, and miniature photoelectric sensors. The full-size photoelectric sensors can sense distances up to 200 m, while the midsize sensors can detect up to 60 m. The compact sensors feature a sensing distance of up to 30 m. The miniature sensors are for mounting in confined spaces and have sensing distances up to 4 m.

• in Safety Light Curtains

  Banner Engineering Corp. offers Type 2 and Type 4 safety light curtains. Type 2 curtains are offered with a 30 mm resolution, a 15 m range, auto/manual reset models, a two-piece integrated system, and low-risk application design. Type 4 EZ-SCREEN safety light curtain systems have ranges up to 70 m, a self-checking/microprocessor-controlled design, 1-4 beam perimeter/access guards, a finely focused ±2.5° beam, and a two-piece integrated system with no control box.

  Banner Engineering produces ultrasonic U-GAGE sensors that use sound waves to sense uneven surfaces, liquids, clear objects, and objects in dirty environments. The QT50U is a long-range programmable sensor capable of measuring to 8', with a dead zone of 2.5% of the total range.  Next, the compact S18U comes in straight or right-angle housing, and senses from 30 to 300 mm with no dead zone when used in retrosonic mode. For built-in temperature compensation, the T30UX can be used; it is offered in three ranges: 100 mm to 1 m, 200 mm to 2 m, and 300 mm to 3 m, depending on response time. Other choices include opposed-mode models for clear objects, IP69K-rated stainless steel models, and low-cost models.
