Heaters, Controls, and Sensors Ltd. (HCS) offers small, compact LevelSonic ultrasonic level sensors capable of measuring solids and liquids. With an IP68 rating, hazardous certification, acid-inert Teflon nose, and tri-clover couplings, the sensors are appropriate for the water, petrochemical, chemical, and food industries.

Instronics provides two types of close-range ultrasonic sensors, and several types of self-contained units. The plastic RPS-401 and stainless steel RPS-426 close-range sensors offer maximal ranges from 8" to 80" and LED indicators that illuminate green when not detecting and red when detecting. Self-contained sensors include the RPS-150 wide beam angle model that detects a flat target tilting up to 35 degrees; 409A-80 analog model, contained in a 30 mm PVC barrel housing; RPS-450/475 solid state proximity sensors; TBT/TBR-600 through-beam models that count up to 200 objects per second; and RPS-3000/4000 self-contained models with sensing ranges from 30' to 40'.
