Baumer Ltd
Baumer offers a wide variety of sensors for different applications. Its non-contact inductive proximity sensors detect metal to ensure the movement and position of machine parts, valves, and gears, and its photoelectric sensors can measure objects several meters away, with an accuracy of a tenth of a millimeter. The ultrasonic sensor measures up to 2.5 m away, and features a high resolution of 0.3 mm. The company's magnetic sensors can be used to detect precisely rotary movements, up to 20,000 measurements per second, and its magnetic cylinder sensors can be used in areas of automation to detect the movements of pneumatic cylinders and register the position of pistons.

Melexis Microelectronic Systems
Melexis produces several Hall Effect devices useful for both movement and position sensing. The MLX90316 Rotary Position Sensor IC offers 12-bit angular resolution and 10-bit angular accuracy, and can be used for controlling headlamp position, side mirror position, and other similar applications. The MLX90324 Under-the-Hood Rotary Position Sensor provides 12-bit resolution on 360 degrees of rotation, and the ability to report current angle values in analog, digital pulse width modulation, or digital single edge nibble transmission. Finally, the MLX90333 Triaxis 3D-Joystick Position Sensor is able to sense any magnet moving in its surroundings, and is sensitive to the flux density applied both orthogonally and parallel to the IC surface.
