General application styles include adjustable spring type thermocouples that fit a large range of hole depths and bend to any angle, and armor style thermocouples with stainless steel hoses that offer additional lead protection in demanding applications. Mineral-insulated thermocouples come in the basic cut and stripped style, wafer head Style AS, and thermowell-compatible Style AT.

Cleveland Electric Laboratories has been producing thermocouples and other sensing solutions since 1920. Their collection of industrial thermocouples includes mineral-insulated thermocouples (MgO) for use in process temperatures up to 2,400 degrees Fahrenheit, base metal thermocouple elements and assemblies that provide a variety of accuracy and response speed ratings, and plastics industry thermocouples in bayonet, variable depth, and melt bolt styles. Thermocouple protection tubes are also available in metal, ceramic (e.g., Mullite, Alumina, silicon carbine, etc.), cast iron, tercod pyrometer, and silicon carbide, for protection from corrosion, contamination, extreme temperatures, and shock.

Ari Industries offers a wide selection of thermocouples. Their standard/base metal thermocouples come with high purity MgO insulation to provide EMF stability and to minimize drift problems. Multi-level thermocouples are manufactured small enough to replace single-point thermocouples and large enough to replace thermowells.

Base metal thermocouples are offered in a variety of wire sizes and configurations, as well as with customizable lengths, insulators, heads, plugs, jacks, blocks, and flanges. Type R, S, B, and C high temperature thermocouples are also made by Furnace Parts; they come with a choice of ceramic, Inconel, Hastelloy, and Molybdenum sheaths. Tempco manufactures many styles of industrial thermocouple assemblies for a wide range of industries, from petrochemical to textile applications. They also offer general purpose thermocouple elements in ANSI types J and K, with either a twisted and welded or butt welded junction, available in 8, 13, and 20 gauge. Finally, the company sells noble metal thermocouples in types R and S; all these elements have a butt welded junction and are available in 20, 24, and 30 gauge.

Manufacturing temperature sensors for over 45 years, Thermo-Couple Products (TCP) offers several thermocouple versions. One is the 5500 Series pencil thermocouple that is ideal for temperatures under 900 degrees Fahrenheit, used commonly for food applications. Pyromation thermocouples are made for a wide range of applications, be they industrial, general purpose, or hazardous. For example, the FD08 penetration-style thermocouple is used to monitor the internal temperatures of meat, fish, poultry, dough, and other foods; made from full hard drawn 304SS, the materials are FDA compliant for use in sanitary applications.  Another option, the industrial ID01 straight base metal thermocouple, is provided in many styles, from bare to duplex-insulated element, to insulated junction, twist weld, or tig weld. Within the full line of Pyromation thermocouples, temperature measurement is possible between -200 and +2,316 degrees Celsius.

Thermal Solutions of Texas carries a variety of general, mineral-insulated, base metal, high temperature, and multipoint thermocouples. These can be used for a number of applications, from plastic injection molding and food processing, to nuclear and atomic research, to industrial processing and heat treating.
