Governors America Corp. provides magnetic speed sensors for the detection of ring gear teeth and other ferrous projections.  With a variety of dimensions, these sensors offer 0.025" to 0.035" proximity to gear teeth, -65 to +225 degree Fahrenheit temperature range, 0.5 to 30 V RMS output, and 30 to 1,200 ohm resistance, depending on the sensor.
